Born and raised in the L.A. area, and it took me 50 years to finally go to the Rainbow Bar & Grill. Not sure why I haven't been here sooner. I'm a fan of 80's & 90's Hollywood, Rock and Metal music so this place has been on my bucket list. I got a picture with Lemmy's statue and checked out the memorabilia inside. This place must have been wild after the shows at the Roxy in the 80's. I had the Bacon Cheeseburger and Fries. It was a darn good burger. It didn't come with condiments to allow you to dress it up the way you like. The fries were really good. They reminded me of the thin In n Out fries, but 100 times better and seasoned too! I also had a couple of Voodoo Rangers while I was there and listened to the old dudes at the bar talk about different bands. I think I need to come back another day to just hang out and have a burger and beer.

I ordered food and drinks and everything came out solid. Nothing overworked or pretentious, just classic bar food done right. Portions were generous, flavors were on point, and the drinks were poured properly. Service was relaxed but attentive, which fit the atmosphere perfectly. This is not a polished, touristy spot and that’s exactly the point. It feels authentic and lived in. If you want a real Hollywood experience with history, attitude, and a great bar scene, this place delivers. Highly recommend if you’re on the Strip and want something iconic instead of generic.

Being a rock fan since the late 80s it would have been rude not to visit the sunset strip whilst on vacation from the UK. Meandering into the rainbow we were greeted by a young woman who asked if we were just drinking or eating. We already knew we wanted a bite to eat so she sat us outside in the Lemmy lounge and brought us menus. Cynthia the bar tender took our order, I had a Sprite(I was driving but I would of had a Lemmy! (Jack and Coke) And the steak tacos (which came with rice and beans) my wife ordered paradise city(strawberry) and the sliders, the drinks arrived quickly and the food not long after. Food was tasty and well cooked Asked about purchasing some items of merch and acquired a tee, a vest and 2 Zippos, Cynthia also handed me a few bar mats, a post card and a book of matches I doubt I would ever be in LA again but would certainly visit again hopefully not driving so could enjoy a few drinks😁

I am a metal head so obviously had to visit. Alot of rock memorabilia and history. The food was really bad, no flavour, not well cooked at all. I have eaten better at roadside places than this. Service was great, the waitresses are friendly talkative and beautiful. The place is tired which probably adds to the charm. If the food improved I would visit again.
