I think we may have had too high of expectations due to what we paid for our room. Overall, I would describe the resort as just okay. While the property is beautiful, it just didn't offer enough to keep our family entertained for more than a couple of days. One of the biggest disappointments was the water slide. We were hoping it would be something our kids could enjoy throughout the trip, but it's really small, and our 14-year-old wasn't even allowed to use it because of the height restrictions. After two days, our kids were already bored, which made the rest of the vacation feel much longer. The beach is beautiful, but it's an incredibly long walk through sand to get there longer than at any beach resort we've visited. It wasn't a dealbreaker, but it definitely became inconvenient. We also found the food and service to be average. Nothing was terrible, but nothing really stood out either, especially considering the price of the resort. The first night we ate at Quinn's and the service was so bad. I think our waiter was having a bad day. In the end, we had an enjoyable family vacation because we were together, but the resort itself didn't live up to our expectations. Unfortunately, it's not a place we would choose to return to.
We had a very nice time celebrating my 60th bday. The concierge team was very accomadating especially Janine. The bottle of Prosecco , flowers and delicious cupcakes made it extra special. We upgraded to the Serene but didn't feel it was worth the extra cost. The service everywhere on the resort was excellent. The Tesoro restaurant was excellent. We went there twice and had excellent service and conversation with Lily. The steakhouse food was excellent also.
My family and I absolutely love the JW Marriott Marco Island. It’s truly one of our favorite Marriott properties. From the room, the beautiful beach and incredible pools to the amazing food throughout the property and the fire show, every part of the experience feels special and unforgettable. A special thank you to Gamal at the front desk for being absolutely wonderful, attentive and going above and beyond to make our stay extra special and kindness towards our family. His kindness and hospitality truly made a difference. Also, a huge thank you to Joe from the beach food service team who got completely soaked in the rain just to help me carry all of our things, the kids items and food back into the building. That level of care and kindness truly meant so much to our family and did not go unnoticed. Thank you all for another incredible stay! See you soon!
Resort was beautiful & clean, staff were friendly, always willing to assist! Special shout to the cabana beach staff & waitstaff who provided impeccable service throughout our stay. The cabana beach staff who set up our chairs and umbrellas were super friendly and always willing to assist, always had a smile on their faces. The waitstaff were super attentive and provided amazing service! The drinks & food on the beach were delicious! The one dinner we had at Kane’s was not the best food wise but our server Garrett was awesome. We sat at a table on the beach so we could be near the fire performer. The flies were a bit of an issue. Dinner went a little down hill when the sun started setting and we started to get bit by what we assumed were sand fleas or some type of little biting bug. There were no tiki torches out to keep bugs at bay, which I thought was odd. We had to get up and leave the area. We did love the educational information provided about the marine life near by and how to make it a safe space for them during our stay. Overall we did thoroughly enjoy our stay and would highly recommend!
We paid about $500/night before fees, self parking, etc. and felt it was a good value for that price, not perfect but we had a great time at the pools, beach and restaurants. Had 'resort view' but could see the beach from the balcony and they gave us a high floor as requested. Service at front desk, bell station, restaurants and beach was friendly and prompt for us. I debated doing a $600/night rate with $100/day resort credit (our rate had $50/day) on the adults-only side and ultimately opted not to, never saw it get that low again but didn't really miss having an adults-only pool area. There are a lot of kids around but as a noise-sensitive person I just put headphones on while lounging at pool/beach and it wasn't a big deal. Our room was quiet and comfortable. Housekeeping came around 5-6pm both days because we were at the end of the hall, we were only there 3 nights so just asked for fresh towels & trash emptying. Enjoyed taking the complimentary e-bikes to the museum - we saw a family of burrowing owls on the way there! All the food we had was good, the dinner at Quinn's was especially tasty. Drove to Snook Inn for one dinner and enjoyed it. I'd read a lot of mixed reviews leading up to our stay so wasn't sure what to expect; we had a really nice time in the end.
