This was another gem that I really enjoyed. My Google review partner (my MIL) took me here for an early birthday dinner while visiting. She goes here regularly with her gal group so you know it must be good food and good prices ( we know how those senior ladies can be …. Just kidding ) We started off with the calamari which was really good and the sauce it came with added a nice touch. She enjoyed the meatball salad and I had my favorite, Chicken Parmesan. The meatball salad was as interesting to me as it was delicious. It was a huge meatball, a golf ball sized lump of ricotta cheese plated next to a nice sized salad. The flavors all mixed well. When I try a new Italian eatery, I always judge it on their chicken parm. This place met the challenge. The chicken tasted fresh not frozen or deep fried like many other places. It was juicy and tender with just the perfect amount of melted cheese. The sauce was good enough that I went back and dipped my bread in it at the end. They have a full bar and my rum and coke was a well made drink. Not drowning in alcohol but not weak enough where I question if any alcohol was used. I like a bartender that knows the correct pour. Besides good food and great service, they have an awesome atmosphere. There are two side to the restaurant. One side has the bar and seems a little fancier, and the other side reminds me of an old home town Italian restaurant/pizza shop. A little more casual but still has an amazing vibe. I preferred the casual side and I guess so did many more people because all 15 booth/tables were completely filled. I definitely recommend that you give it a try. If you like the old family, casual dining, with good food and good service then you can’t go wrong with Joey D’s.

Nice looking place, slightly upscale. Unfortunately they messed up my order pretty bad. I ordered a calzone with four toppings but received a calzone with only two of the four toppings that I ordered it with. Since I didn't have enough time to wait to have another one prepared correctly I ate it but showed my server the mistake that happened. I wasn't charged for the other two toppings, but it still messed up the experience. I wasn't too fond of the marinara sauce that was provided with the calzone either, but at least they gave me a generous portion of the sauce. I have no intention of returning to this restaurant, there are other options for Italian restaurants nearby.

Joey D's Italian Restaurant ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5-Star Review It was a perfect night for Italian, and Joey D’s delivered in every way! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming — just what you hope for in a neighborhood Italian favorite. The menu offers an awesome range of authentic Italian dishes and an impressive pizza selection. Whether you're craving classic pasta, hearty entrées, or a perfectly baked pizza, there’s something for everyone. Everything came out quick, hot, and in generous portions — definitely great value for the price. The service was excellent — friendly, attentive, and efficient without ever feeling rushed. It’s refreshing to enjoy a meal that checks all the boxes: delicious food, affordable pricing, and outstanding hospitality. If you’re in Naples and looking for a fantastic Italian dinner, Joey D’s is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back!

On our first visit, we decided to try several appetizers. We, of course, had to have the garlic knots with marinara, delicious. Fried calamari was an ample portion, very good. And the eggplant stack was a nice side with arugula and fresh mozzarella. We were going to order a pizza but between drinks and apps, we were pretty full. I got the lemon cake since it was my birthday. I loved the lemon cake. All in all, the food was fresh and authentic Italian. We especially liked the outdoor atmosphere of this place. The family atmosphere is comfortable, not stuffy like other Naples restaurants and the food was reasonable.

Really really good Italian food. The best around. Highly recommend. Garlic rolls are great. Bruschetta was great. All of our meals were perfect. Everyone needed a box when leaving. Drinks were good and could even tell they had alcohol in them. Highly recommend going here. Bar looked really nice. Service was good. It was a little loud inside, but the place was packed. Food and drinks all came out pretty fast though. Will definitely be back.
