I own a raw bar catering company in CT and wanted to dive straight into the local seafood while staying in Marco Island. Fin Bistro continues to impress me year after year. I've ordered the beet and hearts of palm salad (utterly delicious), various shrimp & lobster pastas and fish dishes. The seafood is 2nd to none if you're looking for innovative dishes featuring local seafood. The service can be slow when they are busy. I once waited for 30 mins for water, bread, and a server to take our order. She corrected the delay by apologizing and giving us free cocktails. I give the atmosphere 3 stars because one of the side doors is blocked off which seems like a potential fire or emergency hazard. You then have to walk past a bunch of tables to get to the host stand and it feels a bit cramped. They do have some really nice fish art on the walls and I liked the little aquarium by the bathrooms.
Our first time at Fin Bistro definitely won’t be our last. We enjoyed the wine & pumpkin spice espresso martini. Our waiter was excellent. Super friendly and he always seemed to be right there when we needed anything. We sat on the patio which was nice and quiet but a little cool on a chilly evening. I’m looking forward to coming back when the exterior curtains are open in warmer weather. Our entrees of grilled shrimp brochettes and the hogfish special were both excellent! See you in January!
We went out there for the first time, and I have to say it was exceptional. We ordered drinks, coffee, entrees, and desserts. I personally had the Chilean Sea Bass with lobster risotto and asparagus special, which was absolutely astounding. We also ordered 1 lb of King crab legs, filet, lobster, and two kids' meals. Our server was kind and very attentive, including the people who brought the food out and cleared our dishes. I will definitely be returning.
Food and service was fantastic. Sat at a high top in the bar. Derek was our server…great. Had the Charred Octopus…delicious. Incredibly tender served with goat cheese and roasted golden beets. For dinner we ordered the Seared Atlantic Golden Tile and the Sautéed Florida Keys Dorado…hard to say which was better both were absolutely delicious. Highly recommend Fin Bistro if you want an elegant setting with seafood prepared perfectly.
Pleasantly surprised by both of the dinners we had in Marco Island but this one stood out as the best (the other was DaVinci’s, also very good). Service was well paced and not rushed. Each dish we had was well prepared. One caution if you’re a picky eater be sure to read descriptions and/or ask as there were some less common pairings…for example cashews on tuna poke. I had the tuna poke and swordfish picatta, my wife had scallops, son had the filet mignon and my other son the burger. Everyone was happy with their food. We were on an enclosed patio for dinner. Short walk from Hilton.
