We had a full interior repaint done by Emerald Coast Painters spending thousands of dollars to paint everything from our walls, ceilings, doors, closets etc. a few months back. I have gone back and forth on writing a review but the longer it has been, the more issues we have found and the more frustrated I have gotten. They were in the middle as far as price point but we were impressed upon our initial interaction. They have a good sales pitch, but then the quality doesn't match up. I actually thought it was promising that they had a couple of month wait to get the project started - in my head some kind of proof they must be excellent and sought after but I'm shaking my head now. The good: They showed up when expected, which can be a challenge to find in NW Florida. They also use Sherwin Williams paint which I appreciated. We are happy with the stain they did on the front door. The not so good: They had a crew of maybe four or so people who came out to paint. They were very nice, but instead of a quality paint job, I feel like we got the landlord special. The way they painted the house was disorganized - especially since it was previously discussed what order things would be done in. (Just for reference we asked them to skip one bathroom and bedroom until the very end so we could have a space to live in - on day one they started painting in that bathroom! They told us we needed to empty out our pantry as it would be painted the next day - no problem at all except they didn't paint it for two more days.) We are no stranger to home improvement projects, we know things can get a bit chaotic with everyone working and we also know that if the project was properly managed this could have been avoided and made things easier on us. Every day after the crew left, I would spend close to two hours cleaning up after them. When we brought up our concerns - they just said, 'you know its a jobsite right?' I also realize we have an older home and it wasn't going to look perfect, but to now have found areas that were completely missed isn't acceptable. Our new trim color for example is similar to the old one we had - but if you look close or the light hits is right, there is a difference. We have had to repaint multiple areas that we didn't notice while they were here. They said they would scrape and sand down area where the old paint was peeling - they did it in a few spots, but you can see the photos I included where for the most part, they didn't bother. I would be remiss to not acknowledge the amount of time that I have spent scraping paint off light fixtures, outlet covers etc. is ridiculous given those should have been removed in the first place. Near the end of the project, they asked us to mark areas we wanted fixed - we did this some, but quite honestly, how am I supposed to feel comfortable putting 20+ blue tape spots in one room. I shouldn't have to be quality control - their boss should have come and taken a look at the work and pointed these things out - or if they are truly experienced painters - then they should know better! I am including a photo of today's find as I was cleaning our bathroom light fixture. Really? Plus some others so you can gauge the quality of the work for yourself. After hiring a different company to come out and paint our additional unit out back and seeing the care and time they took to do the project right, only makes this job feel even more disappointing. Do yourself a favor - if you are going to use them, which I would caution against, start small and do one room vs your whole house to make sure you are happy with the quality. For one of my rental properties - maybe this would have sufficed. But for our home, we are truly disappointed.
Excellent experience with Emerald Coast Painters. They did a superior job on our homes exterior stucco paint! Something that is so important to me is communication, and it was outstanding from start to finish. Everyone was prompt, professional, and kept us informed throughout the job. Start date was on schedule and the quality of work exceeded our expectations! The crew was spectacular and worked efficiently and very respectful of keeping things neat and clean. We are extremely happy with the results and highly recommend Emerald Coast Painters to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality work. Ken & Denise
10/10! I received a notice from my HOA about a dirty mailbox, driveway and siding and Emerald Coast painters were out there two days later! They pressure washed the house, walkways and repainted my mailbox. They’ve been my go-to for the last three years with any projects around the house. Mike is the best!
We finally decided to repaint most of the interior of our home after years of wear and fading. The painters handled prep work carefully by protecting floors, furniture, and trim before starting. The project took about a week from start to finish. Compared to before, every room feels brighter, cleaner, and much more updated. The paint lines are sharp, and the finish looks even throughout the house. We also appreciated how consistent the crew was with communication and cleanup each day. It’s amazing how much a fresh coat of paint can completely change the overall atmosphere of a home.
Emerald Coast Painters did a great job with staining our deck, painting an interior ceiling and our front door. Great communication with Mike and Jennifer, the owners, as well as other employees. They are friendly and very detailed in their planning and work. Would highly recommend them!
