Heard of this place from the 100 Best Bars in North America list. I definitely feels it should be higher on the list. First off, this place is where the Cukor-Lipton Agency signed on signed on Norma Jeane Dougherty better known as Marylin Monroe. The cocktails are named after famous former and current historical places in Hollywood. I really likedthe Whiskey A Go Go which is a reimagined whiskey coke. TBH all the drinks looked good to the point I had to ask for suggestions. The Beverly Hills Hotel and Mocambo looked really good. The interior look is very vintage and clean. A great spot to have a drink and relax. Bathrooms are individual unisex and very clean too. Prince Street Pizza is located next door and allowed inside. Parking is street parking and it's a bit hard to find. As always in Los Angeles, please pay attention to the street signs. Non alcoholic spirits are available too so there's something for everyone. I definitely will be going back to try the entire signature drinks menu

This was our first time visiting Los Angeles and the West Coast, and since we’re considering moving from the UK in the future, we really wanted to experience what nightlife in LA actually feels like. Finding Bar Next Door turned out to be one of the best surprises of our trip. The place has an amazing chilled atmosphere, excellent staff, and genuinely great cocktails that are neither overpriced nor watered down — something that can be hard to find. One of the coolest details was the music being played through a vintage tape player, which gave the whole bar a unique character and old-school charm. The location also felt safe and welcoming, making it easy to relax and fully enjoy the evening. Definitely recommend this place if you want a more authentic and laid-back West Hollywood experience.

Such a good bar. The cocktails are amazing. Well thought out and they pay homage to the history of the area. They're made with precision, consistency, and care. I really appreciate a great cocktail program. I'll continue to come back and enjoy this place going forward. The staff were all super friendly and knowledgable. A perfect combination. The cherry on top, aside from amazing cocktails and a cool vibe? If you're hungry, you can step next door and grab some famous Prince St. Pizza to enjoy in the bar with your world-class cocktails.

As a film buff it is always so exciting to sit, sip and dine in a space with the old Hollywood lore. As angeleno those spaces have come and gone but ‘Bar Next Door’ keeps that vision alive. With just a mere degree of separation from Marilyn Monroe they have created such a beautiful art deco atmosphere and vibe alive. The cocktails are some of the best in the city and the tape reels of music stay true to the era. Whether it be a date night or beers and shot with the crew, this is a must on Sunset Blvd. If you want a true Hollywood experience.

I’ve been visiting Los Angeles all the way from Austria early December. Bar Next Door was definitely my favorite place for cocktails. 🍸💕
